IMA (Indian Military Academy)

We at Bright Angels School are well aware of the fact that the IMA training focuses on service subjects, character building and academic subjects. So we leave no stone unturned in motivating our students to excel in all of these. Our motto is to "Never give in". To shape the career of our students in the field of defence services, we take all the necessary measures like conducting the full of "josh" morning assemblies. We also give them a chance to attend the IMA Passing Out Parade to establish the connection with the forces right from their budding years.

NCC

The School is managed by an Army Officer, therefore to infuse discipline and in order to develop character, comradeship,leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless, service amongst the children.The school has started NCC programme at the school. A group of 50 students are admitted every year after preliminary drill tests. NCC at school campus started from May 2016. Four out of 10 girls of the school were selected as Best Cadets in the year 2019-2020.The schools NCC boys and girls are doing splendid job.

Library

The school has a good library renovated in the year 2019-2020 with the latest encyclopedias. Students of class III onwards are issued Library books which have been judiciously graded and chosen for them.

Computer Education

The use of computers and technology has become an indispensable part of our modern life.The school has wall computer named as Educomp Smart Classes where the touch screen computer is fitted with 32 classes. The School imparts quality computer education to all the students from classes I to XII.It has a modern and well equipped computer lab with adequate number of computers and well trained staff to cater to all the subject needs of the students.

Games, Sports and P.T.

These form an essential part of the school curriculum.We provide facilities to our students to play indoor games like Carrom, Chess etc. and outdoor games like Volley-Ball, Badminton, Basket ball, Throw Ball, Kho-Kho, Kabadi, Shooting etc and have established play land for children from Nursery to VII students. During the year 2012-13, seven girls and fourteen boys participated in the Amateur Open Shooting Competition held at National shooter Jaspal Shooting Range near Dehradun.A local shooting range is held with the school to new enthusiastic students. The school emphasizes upon over all development of the child throughextra-curricular activities like Army drill, Yoga, Karate as well as Shooting.

House System

The Students are divided into four Houses. These houses are named after valiant army veterans who have won ParamVir Chakra. Houses depicts the Indian ethics .These houses heldvarious competitions to foster spirit of willingness, self esteem andself confidence. Investiture ceremony is held to select the House Captain andVice Captain.

Prefectorial System

In each class and section a Prefect, a Discipline Incharge and Monitors are appointed to maintain discipline of the classes and school and to enhance leadership quality. Head Boy and Head Girl are also elected to form a bridge between the students and teachers.

Medical Aid

The School has the provision for giving first aid to students in case of minor injuries or simple ailments. Parents will be immediately informed depending upon the gravity of injuries or difficulty.

Transport

The School has a fleet of modern and comfortable buses with facility of pickup/drop points on all major routes. Students can avail conveyance facility on payment. Parents may contact the school office for more details. However, the School advises for the benefit of the parents, to form a group of 5-15 parents and hire a School Van for easy and smooth functioning.

Picnics and Excursions

To expose students to outdoor life and society the school organizes excursions, picnics and visits to the zoological parks, factories and neighboring cities.
